Tips for travellers firstly or commonly arriving to Nicaraguan land

The only taxes a visitor has to pay inland the country is 15% of taxes above value added; it is says total value on your purchasing, it can be included in Hotel services, meals and beverages. Out of it there are no more taxes which it can affect to the tourist activity.

The tips can be done voluntary. There are some malls that can include 10% of tips, but this charge is not legal and therefore the client can decide pay it or not, in the airport a normal tips for the loader cost is $ 1.00 dollar.

The work’s day and schedules in Nicaragua vary in the private and public sectors. Normally the public sector works all day especially in commerce and stores (including Saturday), the supermarket are open from Monday to Saturday and Sunday midday.

Food are delicious but are huge in Nicaragua if go though dinning rooms, restaurants ask for little portions of rise and bean , they are typical food, avoid frescos, sodas and other sugar drinks, tryout diet soda.
